Resgate de brasileiros no Líbano: aeronave da FAB decola do Rio nesta quarta-feira
A Aviação informou que o avião responsável pelo resgate de 220 brasileiros no Líbano partirá do Rio de Janeiro nesta quarta-feira, 2. A aeroplano KC-30, um padrão utilizado em operações militares de longo alcance, fará uma graduação em Lisboa antes de seguir para o Aeroporto de Beirute.
Contexto da Missão de Resgate
O Líbano está sendo mira de ataques por secção de Israel, das quais foco é atingir bases do grupo terrorista Hezbollah. A situação tensa na região tornou necessário o resgate de cidadãos brasileiros, que estão buscando retornar ao país em segurança.
Ainda não há previsão solene de retorno do avião ao Brasil, segundo a Aviação.
Equipes de escora na missão “Raízes de Cedro”
Além dos pilotos, a tripulação contará com militares da extensão de saúde, incluindo médico, enfermeiro e psicólogo, que irão oferecer suporte aos resgatados durante a missão. A operação foi batizada de “Raízes de Cedro”, uma referência à árvore que simboliza o Líbano.
